WalkingDeadBr: You started your acting career in 2009 in the movie “Get Low”, along with two beloved actors in the film, Bill Murray and Robert Duvall. How was acting with these “masters”?

Chandler Riggs: I had an amazing time because they are such great actors. Mr. Duvall autographed a shell casing from the rifle he shot at me.

WDBr: How would you define the determinations of Chandler Riggs? What are your ideal future, since he started working soon. How is the run studies / work?

CR: Basically, I want to act and would like to continue in tv and movies. It was tough when school started back in August and the days off on the set changed. I had a lot of schoolwork to make up. Now I am home schooled so it should be much easier for season 2.

WDBr: Do you enjoy movies with the undead? Was already on the case before
series? If yes, what are your favorites?

CR: I loved zombie movies even before I was in The Walking Dead. My favorites are 28 Days Later, Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland.

WDBr: About the comics, did you know? Following closely the unfolding of history and seeing how it is forming the fate of Carl and his family?

CR: I knew about the comics before the final callback. We went to our local comics store and read them. It is cool to read ahead and predict what may happen on the show.

WDBr: What would be the biggest fear of Carl?

CR: Probably after a while, himself. He could really change in that messed-up world…and not be a nice person.

WDBr: In the scene where the zombies invade the camp, “Vatos” there was lots of action … For you, as that record rush to escape the zombies?

CR: We all could not wait until that night- it was very loud, we had earplugs in, and for some of us, it was the first time seeing the zombies. It was incredibly awesome and fun.

WDBr: Where did the invitation or the desire to join the cast of The Walking Dead and represent a character as important as Carl?

CR: First my agent gave us the script to learn, then my mom worked with me on it, I went on tape a couple of times, then got to meet Frank Darabont and a week later, they called to let us know I had the part.

WDBr: A lot of responsibility, strength and determination are developed at the Carl
comics, however, the series has not shown anything. If this occurs in
future, you think you will be able to convey all this?

CR: Definitely. I hope I get the chance to do more in the second season and I think I will do O.K. Getting to work with such a great cast is amazing. Everyone really feeds off of the energy and it really pulls you into the scenes when everyone is so into their character.

WDBr: How is your life today, after the success that the series is gaining every day?

CR: Not much different, except for autographing stuff, interviewing, and homeschooling. I still go on auditions for movies and other parts. I like playing my XBox, mountain biking, and playing guitar a little.

WDBr: Proposal has already received some great after The Walking Dead? Have a plan for the future with respect to your career?

CR: Hopefully The Walking Dead will last a few years and help me land other roles as I get older. I would like to do more movies during the off-season, but have not gotten any other roles yet.

WDBr: Last but not least, would you please send a “hi” to your brazilian fans, sending a video or a photo, recommending our the best brazilian fansite (www.walkingdeadbr.com)?

WDBr: Já recebeu alguma proposta grande após The Walking Dead?

CR: Espera-se que The Walking Dead dure alguns anos e me ajude a conseguir outros papéis conforme eu for crescendo.
